Get every corner right or you might end up being deleted. You have to do this perfect with a great strategy. After doing so, depending on how many phases you took compared to the target faze you may get a chip, and SP chip, or zennys, the currency of this series. You must destroy the dark panels and destroy the darkloid himself. So basically, you and your team of Navis have to liberate the red panels using special moves or by simply liberating one panel. It ended up really bad on some of people's lists, but if you can look past that you can find this game really good. Also that it's the only reason people find this game infamous. I've heard that these missions are a direct turn off for some. That game and it's extreme difficulty compared to this and it's liberation missions. Remember how I said these missions are a good and a bad? Well, it takes a certain mind to like this game. The glaring thing that makes this the black sheep of the series. There is one thing I haven't covered yet. Use a water chip on a fire chip and double the damage! Just make sure you have good accuracy. The most common type match-up in existence, Water - Fire. With each type, comes a weakness of course. Similar to Pokemon, Navis and viruses alike may have special types. They are generally harder to fight then viruses so you will need some good strategies, let alone chips. You need a good sense of it if you are ever going to get far. So strategy is a huge factor in this game. If a chip has a * code, it can go with any chip. However if you have a sword and a cannon, you can't select them together if they aren't the same code. For example, if you have 2 sword chips, you can select them together. You can chose a number of chips depending on the code, and the chip itself. When you are MegaMan, 5 or more random chips are set in your folder. It's no contest that being in the real world as Lan is much more bearable. Unlike Lan, you run in the cybernetic world and encounter viruses which can be quite annoying to get past unless you are stocked up on Sneak Run. When you jack in, MegaMan, your Personal Net Navi is sent into the internet. You can find clues to progress the story, buy stuff, talk to other humans and challenge Net Battlers, and jack in to the internet to many electrical appliances. So as Lan, you run through the real world. It is played through virus busting and Net Battles with other Navis. How does this game compare with the rest of the franchise or even Mega Man Zero for that matter? It's a Mega Man game so what's up here? See, Mega Man Battle Network has a different style of game play. First and foremost, let's cover the Game Play. Not such a problem there now was it? Great. On their adventure, Lan and MegaMan ask and recruit many members and their powerful/useful Navis! Some better than others from TP, and some worse. But that's something for another category. One that involves gathering a team of members and their Navis and working together to liberate the captured areas. Because we have two guys (and a bunch of others) whose names and Lan and Mega Man! Anyways, the Official Net Battlers devise a strategy. So now what? Is the game over? Of course not. Or at least he would've with one vital object. His plan is to take over the Internet or "Net" and surprisingly he succeeds. Taking place after Battle Network 4, a scientist name "Regal" from the previous installment makes an organization named Nebula. Two different games but Ocarina of Time has more flavor and engaging things. Think of it as Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past. Now let's jump into Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel! Plot: The plot of this game is exactly like it was in Team Protoman, but with a little more flavor text and interesting dialogue. In most aspects, it does it's job to complete what others have failed. Even compared to the brother game, Team ProtoMan, this game is much better than the last. With each Battle Network installment, (Excluding 4 that is) each game has to improve on what the others have lacked in right? That's just the inhabitant way of video games no? Well you're completely correct. Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel Review by: chaoscontrolx - 9.7/10 Battle Network 5.
